Stacy Garhart

Stacy Garhart returns for her fifth season coaching with Coastal. Stacy started with Coastal Virginia Volleyball Club in 2002 coaching 15s. After four seasons with the club, Stacy took some time for herself. Last year she returned to coaching with another club in the area. This returns this year as the 14s coach.

Stacy’s volleyball career started in 5th grade playing recreation and quickly moving to club volleyball at the age of 12. In high school she played varsity for four years at Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri. During her time there she was named all-conference, all-district, all-region, and all-state her junior and senior year. Her high school placed 2nd two years in a row and in her senior year won the state championships. Stacy earned the Missouri State MVP as well as the 1998 Gatorade Player of the Year.

A four year starter right side hitter for the College of William and Mary, Stacy continued to lead. Her senior year the Tribe won the regular season conference as well as the Conference Championship. Over her four years she earned various honors such as all-tournament teams, all-tournament MVP, all-conference, and all-state. Stacy also played varsity basketball for three years at William and Mary.

Stacy earned her degree in 2002, and began teaching. She has taught for six years at Coleman Place Elementary School in Norfolk, Virginia. She currently lives in Virginia Beach and continues to play volleyball and basketball.
