The 2009 season will see the final step in making Dave Albaugh the full time Director of Operations for the club. Over the past two seasons Dave has been working closely with Will Stein to allow for an easier transition into the position. Will was the Director of Operations for the club since 2002. During this transition period, Dave and Will have worked together to allow Coastal Virginia to become THE premier club in the Hampton Roads Area. The last two seasons have seen many progressive changes in the club, which have allowed our players to be very successful. 
The development of new Try-out procedures has allowed players to feel very comfortable showing their skills to the staff, and has allowed our parents to see how professional Coastal operates. The addition of weekly skill sessions and the setters sessions with Will have allowed our players the opportunity to develop skills outside of their three scheduled practices each week with their teams. For the last three seasons Coach Albaugh has also conducted a recruitment seminar which has been very helpful to all of our families. CVVC thanks Will for all of the hard work he has done over the past several years, and hopes he enjoys a little extra time off from volleyball as he passes off this position to Dave; it is a well-deserved rest. 
Coach Albaugh is looking forward to the continued development of the club. Knowing that Coastal Virginia Volleyball Club is something that many families want to be a part of excites Albaugh, but also makes him realize that changes will have to continue to be made to meet the needs and demands of this elite program. For the 2009 season Coach Albaugh already has some new ideas on bettering the recruitment process and getting necessary club information to parents. Coastal will also be looking into more skills sessions throughout the season. 
Most of all, Coach Albaugh wants parents and players to enjoy their time with the club. The Juniors Director / Director of Operations will be in charge of hiring coaches and placing them in age levels, event selection for teams, budgets, uniforms, try-out structure and practice schedules, as well as overseeing a grassroots program, coaches' development/education and the players developmental skills sessions.
