Adam McLamb takes the reigns as the Head Coach of the 18-Gold team this season. Last year Adam served as one of the 18 National Team assistant coaches under Head Coach Dave Albaugh. Adam began playing volleyball at Great Bridge High School under former GBHS coach Bryan Stambaugh. In that time, Adam eventually led the team as the starting setter and helped his team to several Southeastern District Championships along the way earning All District and All Region honors his senior year. Keeping the love of volleyball into college, Adam got involved as a volunteer for the Varsity Girls Volleyball program at Radford University his freshman year. In his sophomore season Adam played for the Radford Men’s Club team and in his last two seasons he directed and coached the club team. Adam graduated from Radford University in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sports Health Education. Last year Adam joined the CVVC as an assistant to the 18 National Team. Adam helped with the running of drills, creating workout routines for the team, and working with individual athletes on nutrition and injury prevention. More recently Adam was hired as the Girls’ Head Coach at Brandon Middle School in Virginia Beach for this years middle school volleyball season. Adam is also currently employed as a Physical Therapy Technician at Southeastern Physical Therapy. Adam’s love for the game and desire to teach this game to others made him a great choice for coaching the 18-Gold team this season. His focus will be to develop each individual into a solid volleyball player while allowing his team to be successful in the Old Dominion Region. |
